Denmark has a population of around 5 million. Just Los Angeles alone is over 3 million. It is a great deception when people compare a country like the USA with Denmark of those other tiny Nordic countries. Also, the Nordic countries have a very monolithic population. The USA is a vast melting pot culture that has a large number of disfunctional people.
@@conr2141 Germany and France are only the size of US states with similar populations to boot and Canada's welfare system is full of long wait times and barely works. Humans are naturally tribal beings, so or course they can afford to be a lot more sharing with smaller groups than larger ones. Also, the only reason any of the countries you mentioned can afford their welfare states is because the USA pays for their defense.
